2. Collection and Use of Personal Data
Personal data is information that identifies or is associated with a specific individual or entity, such as a name, address, email address, or telephone number, etc. Eton collects personal data about its users in order to better serve you. The personnel data and the way we collect about you include, but are not limited to, the following: At various times you may give your personal data to us. For example, in order to send a request or inquiry from you to ask for a product or service, we may need to know all or some of the following: your full name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, your current location, and your current service providers. We may also gather information from cookies or web beacons. We also collect IP addresses, mobile device identifier details, your location, navigation and click-stream data, the time of accessing the Website, products you viewed, what you searched for, the duration of your visit, and other details of your activity on the Website. If you ask us to connect with other web sites or social media accounts (for example if you ask us to connect with your WeChat account) we may get information that way too. In connection with electronic communications we facilitate through the Website, we use electronic or manual checks to monitor such communications for trust and security purposes. We obtain data from you either by you inputting your personal details, by the automatic collection of information about you as you use the Website, when we speak to you, when we communicate with you on any electronic way such as but not limited to email, IM, QQ, telephone, WeChat, Facebook, SMS, Weibo, and Instagram, etc., or from third parties. Third party information may include financial information which we use to prevent and detect fraud, information from your mobile provider if you are accessing the Website over a mobile device or information from a third party such as social media or opinions web sites where you have asked us to share your data with them. Eton will not sell, rent, trade, license or otherwise disclose your specific personal information or financial information to third parties, except that: (1) Eton uses third parties to perform specific functions on its behalf and it must disclose information to help those parties perform their services (for example, Eton would disclose your name, address and phone number to a commercial carrier, such as Federal Express, or a service provider in order to deliver a physical product or a service that you order); (2) Eton must disclose your name and credit card number and information to financial services and credit card processing companies in order to process your payments; (3) Eton may be required to disclose such information in response to a legal process, order or investigation (for example, a subpoena or court order); (4) Eton may disclose personal information where disclosure is necessary to protect its legal rights or to protect itself or others (for example, in order to reduce the risk of fraud or illegal activities); (5) Eton may share such information amongst the Affiliates for the purpose of marketing products and services to you; (6) Eton may provide identity verification services to third parties and your personal information may be included in the data transferred to third parties in connection with those services; and (7) Eton may acquire, merge with or be acquired by another company or it might sell some or all of its assets, and, in such a case, your personal information may be included in the transferred business assets. Our primary purpose in collecting your personal data is to provide you with the services you request and those which we believe will optimize your use of the Website. You agree that we may use your personal data for the following purposes:
• For the services or to support your request;
• To contact you from time to time with user or service updates;
• To send other messages that help us provide our services on the Website;
• To assist an entity you have done (or have agreed to do) business with. For example if you use a service or product from the third party, we may help you to deal with the third party for better service.

If you are Eton Web Support Portal users on the Website, you will receive our newsletter, which is an integral part of the services we provide. We may offer different newsletters from time to time intended to enhance the services we offer. Users may cancel their subscription to these newsletters at any time, although it may take a short while for the changes in your preferences to become effective.
We also use surveys to collect information about our users. From time to time, we request users' feedback in order to evaluate potential functions and services. The decision to answer a survey is completely yours. We use information gathered from surveys to improve our services.
When you download or use our Apps, we may receive information about your location and your mobile device, including a unique identifier for your device. We may use this information to provide you with location-based services, such as advertising, search results, and other personalized content. Most mobile devices allow you to turn off location services. If you have questions about how to disable your device's location services, we recommend you contact your mobile service carrier or your device manufacturer.
Users may send inquiries to us via other electronic communications, such as telephone, SMS, WeChat, QQ, Weibo, Facebook, email or IM, etc. If you choose to send an inquiry through these methods, your personal information, including your email address, electronic communication account information, telephone number and any other information you supply (unless the Website specifies otherwise), will be visible to us so that we might reply directly to you. We may also from time to time, use third party e-mail servers to send and track receipt of such communications, and analyze the pattern of such communications for trust and security purposes as well as to gather data, such as inquiry and booking data (on an anonymous basis), to assist us in better understanding of our business.
We take precautions and have implemented certain technical measures intended to protect against unauthorized access to, disclosure of, and unlawful interception of personal data submitted via the Website, including Secure Sockets Layer ("SSL") for all financial transactions through the Website. While no system is completely secure, we believe the measures implemented by the Website reduce our vulnerability to security problems to a level appropriate to the type of data involved. We have security measures in place to protect our user database and access to this database is restricted internally. However, it remains your responsibility:

Once we receive your personal data, we take steps that we believe are reasonable to limit access to your personal information to only those employees and service providers whom we determine need access to the personal data to provide the requested products, services, offers or opportunities that may be of interest to you or that you have ordered. However, even after we receive your personal information, we cannot and do not guarantee that your personal data will not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed as a result of a breach of our security efforts or as a result of any other event beyond our reasonable control. Accordingly, we cannot and do not guarantee that your personal data or any other information is completely secure and safe from any risk.
5. Opt Out and Corrections
Upon your request, Eton will: (a) correct or update your personal information; (b) stop sending emails to your email address; (c) stop sending text messages to your mobile phone number; (d) stop sending mail (including promotional materials) to your mailing address; and/or (d) disable your account to prevent any future purchases through that account. Please do not email your credit card number or other sensitive information. Please note that Eton may have to communicate with you about product or service orders that you choose to place. The best way of seeing this is to log on to your account by using the “Account” tab/button on the top right of our Website. You can see your basic details and correct or update them if needed at any time. We also want to give you the opportunity to identify any inaccuracies in any other information we have obtained of you. Where possible, if we’ve communicated by you about the inaccuracy of any personal information, we will make appropriate corrections. You can ask to see, update or amend any information we have obtained related to you by contacting us via electronic communications.
